This CD was inspired out of both frustration and observation of how one can slowly have the life drained out of them by the expectations and responsibilities that society throws upon you.

This CD took a week and a half to write all the lyrics and one night to write the music. Although my 'Colors of Autumn' demo is really my first conceptual album, this is my first vocal conceptual effort. This is also my first effort of producing and mixing a recording. Everything was done in a room in my apartment with a PC, USB interface, effects pedalboards, an amp, recording software, and my guitars, bass, keyboard and vocals.

The somewhat semi-autobiographical story begins with statement that I could be in worse shape than I already am. And that in terms of growing up I'm 'Almost Done'. Then knowing that I can't use my past as an excuse I'm 'Moving On'. I've come 'A Long Long Way' but yet it seems that 'I'm Not Good Enough'. I start to get bothered by the 'Double Standard' that I see but I just say 'Fine' and go along with everything. I begin to lose control of who I am and I seem to be 'Running Out' of hope in regards to my circumstances. With that said, I feel my life 'Slipping Away' as I continue to lose 'The Fight' to keep my identity. Finally, my former self is history and for all real purposes, 'I'm Dead'. Thus is the way of life. Assimilation is inevitable, resistance is futile.

This CD can also be considered my anti-corporate statement. Most companies do not want free thinking individuals but instead nothing more than midless, order following worker drones.
